SUSTAINABLE BUILDING ACHIEVEMENT (PHASE 2): ?
The Centennial Planetarium was built for the City of Calgary as a Canadian Centennial commemoration project. The project designed by local architect McMillan Long, received a Governor General’s award for Canadian Architecture, amongst many other awards. The building will be preserved and repurposed as a cultural and heritage site respecting the architectural and cultural history.
From 2014 to 2017 Duke Evans Inc. worked with Contemporary Calgary in conjunction with The City of Calgary to program and plan for the new gallery. Project management services included project planning, assessment of existing facilities, coordination with The City’s designated base building design & management team, art gallery programming coordination, budget and schedule development.
